Type or pick a household item to see whether it goes in the county recycling bucket, to a hazardous waste or electronics collection, out with City garbage or somewhere else, with Trenton’s next recycling Wednesdays.
Nothing on our list matches. Call the MCIA at 609-278-8086 and ask where it goes.

Based on the Mercer County Improvement Authority’s 2026 recycling calendar, Lawrence Township’s list for the county hazardous waste days and City of Trenton notices. Dates and accepted items can change; confirm before you go. Apartment and condo residents should ask their management office.
How the Bucket check works
Every route comes from the agency that runs it: the Mercer County Improvement Authority’s 2026 recycling calendar and its accepted and not-accepted lists, Lawrence Township’s list for the county household hazardous waste days, and City of Trenton notices on garbage, bulk pickup and items the City will not collect. The guides behind each answer are linked from the result.
The recycling dates are Trenton’s 2026 Wednesdays from the county calendar, counted from today’s date on your device. Holiday moves follow the county rule: a pickup that falls on Christmas, New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, Labor Day or Thanksgiving moves to the following Saturday.
When an item is not on any list we can confirm, the Bucket check says so instead of guessing. Call the MCIA at 609-278-8086 for recycling and county events, or the City’s Division of Solid Waste Management at 609-989-3175 for garbage and bulk items.
